I have an interest in modern architecture and design and occasionally I acquire books that outlive their current usefulness for my research. They are listed here in case someone else would find them useful. You can find me on several online auction sites - my username is wootha - but I prefer to sell from my own site because ebay forces me to have a $4 shipping option to the USA, and it is not possible for me to do that because I live in New Zealand and shipping from here costs more than that, usually a lot more!

All these books are ones I have purchased for my own use, therefore they are in the best condition I could find at the time for the price. My selling prices are set to recover my costs. If you want more than one title, I am happy to combine shipping if that is to your advantage.

I can accept payment by direct banking in New Zealand and Australia, and by Paypal elsewhere.

If an item is not as described, I will accept return and refund the amount paid in full, provided the problem is advised within seven days of receipt and the item is returned in the same condition. Since I will not refund your return postage, you should ask questions before you buy.

On Architecture

Frank Lloyd Wright On Architecture selected writings 1894-1940 edited with an introduction by Frederick Gutheim. Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1941. Fourth printing. 275p.

Harcover, no dustjacket, very clean, tight and tidy condition. Red cloth with black and gold lettering. Very minor chipping to top spine end. Interior very tight and clean but age-toned - previous owner's name neatly pencilled on FEP, otherwise no marks or inscriptions. A very nice copy.

Papers arranged in chronological order explain Wright's work and aspirations; he touches on the nature of materials, modern planning, foreign architectural methods, and constructive criticism of American architecture. Some sections previously published in journals including Ladies Home Journal as well as architectural journals, some are from "Modern Architecture" and "Two Lectures on Architecture", some previously unpublished.
